Global Transfer Pricing Planning for an Automotive Parts Supplier
We assisted a large automotive parts supplier with a global transfer pricing planning project. Our analysis determined appropriate prices for intercompany transfers of automotive components, engineering services, and marketing intangibles such as trademarks. We also assisted the client with developing a detailed financial model covering more than 70 legal entities located in more than 20 countries to evaluate the impacts of various pricing methods for these intercompany transactions. In addition, we valued several types of automotive technologies used in the company’s plants around the world. A second study computed enterprise values for more than 20 subsidiaries in five European countries.
