Irene Breckon, et al. v. Cermaq Canada Ltd.

Analysis Group was retained on behalf of the joint defense group in a Canadian antitrust class action brought on behalf of purchasers of farmed Atlantic salmon. The plaintiffs alleged that the defendant salmon producers conspired to fix, maintain, or increase the price of farm-raised Atlantic salmon by manipulating the spot market for salmon in Oslo, Norway, inflating the prices paid by direct and indirect purchasers in Canada.

An Analysis Group team led by Managing Principal Dov Rothman and Vice President David Toniatti supported academic affiliate James Levinsohn, who filed an expert report addressing class certification issues.

The case settled.
