United States of America, et al., v. UnitedHealth Group Inc., et al.
Analysis Group worked with the US Department of Justice (DOJ) to evaluate UnitedHealth Group’s (UHG’s) acquisition of Amedisys, a home health and hospice provider. The DOJ sued to block the transaction, citing antitrust concerns in markets for home health, hospice, and nursing care.
An Analysis Group team led by Managing Principal Brian Gorin, Principal Brian Ellman, Vice Presidents Jonathan Borck, Yao Lu, Federico Mantovanelli, and Kristof Zetenyi, and Manager Olivia Althans supported academic affiliates Deborah Haas-Wilson and David Grabowski and Managing Principal Jee-Yeon Lehmann. After agreeing to a divestiture remedy, the parties completed the transaction.
