Update on Financial Benchmark Manipulation Litigation

Analysis Group Managing Principal Kris Comeaux and Manager Briana O’Haver coauthored an article, “Update on Financial Benchmark Manipulation Litigation,” summarizing a panel discussion hosted by two committees of the American Bar Association (ABA) Antitrust Law Section. The article, which appeared in The Exchange, a newsletter of the ABA Antitrust Law Section, summarizes the discussion among economists and attorneys, including Ms. Comeaux, with experience on either prosecution or defense teams in litigation involving alleged financial benchmark manipulation and the treatment of economic evidence by the courts. Like the panel discussion, the article follows the framework of the “life of a case” and focuses on the role of economists and experts, particularly in the earlier stages of litigation.
