She/Her
Learning & Development Coordinator, Boston
- What are your primary responsibilities, and what types of projects do you work on?
- I handle day-to-day logistics, project coordination, and day-of delivery for the Learning & Development (L&D) team’s leadership development programs. I’m always working on something new and collaborating with colleagues across AG’s administrative and consulting departments.
- How has your perception of AG evolved since you started?
- In my three years at AG, I’ve come to appreciate the firm’s emphasis on being a “people first” organization and the way it consistently highlights its core values, such as inclusion and belonging.
- What was your onboarding experience like?
- Even though I started during a busy season, my onboarding experience was thoughtful and supportive. My advisor took the time to ensure I had full context for my workstreams. [They] set up multiple meetings for us to discuss my assignments and answer my questions.
- Can you share a memorable experience or project that illustrates your role’s impact within the firm?
- One of my favorite programs is the Productive Conversations workshop, which is a one-day intensive program led by external executive coaches who use participants’ real-life experiences to practice strategies for providing constructive feedback and collaborating on teams. Participants leave with practical tools for approaching hard conversations.
- How does your work support the broader operations and success of the office or firm?
- The L&D team delivers programming to consultants at key moments of their careers to help them perform their jobs well, start building toward their next career goal, and adapt to new roles.
- What opportunities for learning, growth, or professional development have you experienced in your role?
- My advisor makes sure I am involved in workstreams that interest me. She also creates opportunities for me to stretch and build new skills while ensuring I feel supported.
- How do you experience collaboration across offices or teams at AG?
- In my role, I work with AG’s Travel and Events teams along with the administrative assistants in our various offices to coordinate and execute program logistics. I also collaborate with members of our consulting and administrative teams to develop and deliver program content. I’ve had the opportunity to visit six other AG offices: Chicago, Denver, London, Los Angeles, Montreal, and New York!
- How would you describe the atmosphere in your office?
- The Boston office is lively! People at AG are very friendly, and there are always new ways to connect with colleagues across teams and departments. There is no shortage of office events, like the ski trip, a department lunch, or a team happy hour. There’s an emphasis on team bonding. AG’s community as a whole is kind, collaborative, and intellectually curious.
- What are your favorite activities or hobbies outside of work?
- I love to travel, crochet, attend hot yoga classes, take beach walks, and paint my nails sparkly colors. I’m also an avid reader and love to watch reality television.
