- What aspects of your work do you find most rewarding? What do you find most challenging?
- The most rewarding aspect of the work is coming together as a team with shared goals and supporting one another throughout the process, rather than working in isolation. I also enjoy the opportunity to learn about a wide range of topics through case work. The most challenging part is ensuring accuracy while meeting tight deadlines, especially when last-minute changes arise. Time management and maintaining precision in our work are constant priorities that we always continue to improve on.
- What is it like to work on a case team? What types of cases have you worked on?
- Working on a case team at AG feels a lot like collaborating on a group project in college, where everyone contributes to completing a shared goal within a set timeline. Throughout the process, I’ve learned a great deal on a wide range of topics and developed valuable skills. I’ve had the opportunity to work on a variety of cases, including those involving retirement plans, health care litigation, intellectual property, and antitrust matters. Each case has offered unique challenges and learning experiences that have contributed to my growth.
- How does the AG support your professional development?
- AG has supported my professional development from day one. Through mentors and dedicated TAs for training courses like SAS and R, the firm has provided valuable resources to help analysts grow. I’m currently pursuing a part-time MBA at USC while working full-time at AG, and the firm has been incredibly understanding of my schedule, offering both partial sponsorship and flexibility to help me balance work and school effectively.
- How would you describe the atmosphere in your office?
- I really enjoy the atmosphere in the LA office – everyone is incredibly friendly and supportive. We connect not just through case work, but also events like happy hours, ski trips, and summer parties. Weekly lunches offer a great opportunity to catch up and strengthen our sense of community.
- What makes the AG community unique?
- The AG community is unique in that it truly feels like being part of a team, with everyone working toward a common goal and always willing to support one another. We push through challenges together and lift each other up along the way. That sense of camaraderie and mutual support is what makes the experience so meaningful and rewarding.
- What are your favorite activities/hobbies outside of work?
- I enjoy starting my day with a swim and love exploring different sports, including boxing, tennis, and jiu jitsu. I also love spending time with children through the children’s ministry at my local church.
- How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?
- I focus on being present and enjoying moments throughout the day rather than drawing strict lines between work and personal time. During busy filing periods, connecting with colleagues over lunch and staying active through exercise helps me manage stress. I also find that keeping a positive mindset and journaling ten things I’m grateful for each day helps me stay grounded and maintain perspective.
