What are your primary responsibilities, and what types of projects do you work on?
I support the business by learning how teams like HR, Legal, Marketing, and Admin/Ops work, then designing and maintaining tools that streamline their processes. I build workflow automations and data-collection/reporting solutions, and help connect enterprise systems.
How has your perception of AG evolved since you started?
Since I started, my view of AG has shifted from seeing it as mainly a consulting firm to understanding the extent of coordination required to run smoothly. I’ve seen how teams across IT, HR, Legal, Marketing, and Admin/Ops rely on effective systems and processes, and it’s made me appreciate AG’s focus on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What was your onboarding experience like?
My onboarding experience was a great start. I had the chance to meet new hires from different offices and connect with colleagues who’ve been at the firm for years, which gave me a better sense of the culture. And the great food was definitely a nice bonus.
Can you share a memorable experience or project that illustrates your role’s impact within the firm?
During the CrowdStrike outage, I was on my old team [The Service Desk], working to find a solution. After about two hours of examining the problem from all angles, I was able to find the solution, and we deployed it to everyone whose laptop was crashing. At that point I realized the value of the Systems team: without it, no one would be able to work.
How does your work support the broader operations and success of the office or firm?
My work supports all members of the firm in their own tasks. A significant part of my job involves creating solutions to problems and automating existing processes to increase efficiency.
What opportunities for learning, growth, or professional development have you experienced in your role?
During my first year, I discovered an interest in automation and development work. I reached out to members of each team, and they offered me some guidance. This led to my transitioning onto the Business Systems team, where I was able to utilize my interests.
How do you experience collaboration across offices or teams at AG?
I often collaborate with other teams and offices. They may have processes that they want to improve, or they may need support with existing processes/technology that we manage. What stands out is how connected the community feels across offices and teams. Even though people are busy, there’s a real willingness to make time, share, and build relationships.
How would you describe the atmosphere in your office?
The atmosphere is both warm and friendly. It is easy to talk to anyone you see and often people come up and talk to you.
What are your favorite activities or hobbies outside of work?
I love playing basketball in my free time and finding new places to eat.
How do you maintain a healthy work–life balance?
I trust my team. If you have a great team behind you, there is less of a chance of getting overwhelmed with work because there is always someone here to help.
