At the 27th Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Ethics and Compliance Congress, Managing Principal Andrée-Anne Fournier will join the panel “Inside the New DOJ Initiative: The Rising Importance of Data Miners.” The panel will examine a new US Department of Justice (DOJ) initiative in which the DOJ partners with data-miner relators who analyze large public datasets to identify statistical anomalies, hidden patterns, and potential False Claims Act violations. Panelists will discuss how data-driven allegations may originate and evolve, what the initiative means for compliance teams, and practical steps organizations can take to strengthen monitoring, documentation, and response readiness.

Ms. Fournier will offer an economist’s perspective informed by her extensive experience analyzing data and developing data-driven defenses in life sciences matters. She will be joined by Corey R. Amundson (King & Spalding), with Mark A. Jensen (King & Spalding) serving as moderator. The session is part of the PCF Industry-Only Compliance Best Practices Think Tank for pharmaceutical and medical device company ethics and compliance professionals and in-house counsel.
