Summary of Experience
Professor Gaboardi is a computer science expert whose research focuses on software design, implementation, and data privacy. With his research, Professor Gaboardi has contributed to the design and development of software-based techniques designed to guarantee privacy in data analyses. In his role at DPella, a privacy analytics firm, he helped develop a software component that allows data analytics without compromising the privacy of individuals’ data. Professor Gaboardi’s research has been supported by several public agencies, including the National Science Foundation and the US Census Bureau. The results of his research have been published in top-tier computer science academic conferences and journals. Prior to joining Boston University, he was an assistant professor at the University at Buffalo and has been a visiting scholar at other academic institutions, including the University of California, Berkeley; Harvard University; and the University of Pennsylvania. Professor Gaboardi has been awarded a Marie Sklodowska-Curie European postdoctoral fellowship, a National Science Foundation CAREER Award, a Caspar Bowden Award for Outstanding Research in Privacy Enhancing Technologies, and a Google Research Award for his research.
