Dr. Madansky is an online advertising and market research executive with over 30 years of experience. She specializes in the areas of online advertising effectiveness and consumer and customer insights for online publishers as well as consumer and B2B brands. Dr. Madansky has provided expert testimony on online advertising technology and measurement, as well as marketing research, and has been deposed in several cases. She has been retained by clients to develop research methodologies and initiatives and to provide quantitative analysis, insights, and strategies. Dr. Madansky’s clients have included major media companies such as BuzzFeed, ESPN, Pinterest, Time Inc., Hearst, Twitter, The New York Times, and YouTube; digital brands such as Spotify, Postmates, and tastytrade; and B2B clients such as Informatica, Illumio, and OutSystems. Prior to founding her consulting firm, Dr. Madansky was an executive vice president of research, insights, and analytics at iHeartMedia and a vice president of customer insights at Yahoo! She is the coauthor of The Elephant in the Valley, a groundbreaking study on gender bias in Silicon Valley. This research was featured in Time, Newsweek, Vogue, Recode, and The Irish Times. Additionally, Dr. Madansky was a keynote speaker at SXSW to discuss the study. She has been a lecturer at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a guest lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, The Fuqua School of Business, and Cornell University.
