Summary of Experience
Mr. Mersmann applies quantitative analysis to support litigation and strategic decision-making, with a focus on health care and antitrust matters. He has used econometric methods to assess causation and estimate damages in cases involving the False Claims Act and delayed generic entry, and has analyzed large-scale health care and pharmaceutical data to evaluate industry trends and market dynamics. He has supported all phases of the litigation process, including discovery, expert interviews, expert reports, depositions, and trial preparation. Beyond litigation, Mr. Mersmann has worked with manufacturers and pharmacy chains to develop and refine suspicious order monitoring (SOM) algorithms, dispensing-level analytics, and prioritization systems. He has also advised business stakeholders on regulatory priorities to help ensure alignment with the corresponding responsibility requirements placed on supply chain participants to monitor and mitigate diversion risks. Prior to joining Analysis Group, Mr. Mersmann was a mathematics professor at the University of South Florida.
