Summary of Experience

Dr. Dooley applies economic, financial, and statistical methods to damages and liability analyses in securities and finance litigation. In securities fraud litigation matters, he has studied the economic impact of corporate disclosures to estimate damages exposure and predict settlement ranges. For government investigations, he has analyzed high-frequency datasets to identify manipulative trading strategies in equity, fixed income, futures, options, and cryptocurrency markets. He has also addressed questions related to market microstructure, securities issuance, corporate governance, and valuation. He has assisted clients, attorneys, and experts in all phases of the litigation process, including strategy development, discovery, expert reports, deposition, trial and mediation, and settlement negotiations. Dr. Dooley’s research has been published in peer-reviewed academic journals, including The Review of Financial Studies, and has been featured in Time Magazine, Bloomberg Businessweek, and Texas Public Radio. Before joining Analysis Group, Dr. Dooley worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland’s Banking Supervision department.
