Dr. Yan specializes in applying economic and financial analyses to complex litigation matters, including financial securities, ERISA, false advertising, class certification, antitrust, and other disputes. His work has spanned major banking institutions, asset managers, consumer product manufacturers, food and beverage companies, and information technology firms, among others. Dr. Yan has supported clients and experts across all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation and mediation consultation to expert report preparation, deposition testimony, and trial support. In finance and ERISA matters, his work has involved evaluating portfolio management practices, investment performance and suitability, fee structures, over-the-counter (OTC) market efficiency, and market manipulation damages. In false advertising and class certification matters, Dr. Yan has analyzed product attribute price premiums and alleged class-wide injury claims. In antitrust matters, he has evaluated alleged damages from price-fixing and other anticompetitive conduct in industries such as consumer products, chemicals, and banking. He has also worked on intellectual property (IP) disputes, which have involved lost profits and unjust enrichment analyses.
