Summary of Experience

Mr. Allen has over 30 years of experience acting as a damages expert witness, specializing in substantial cross-border disputes in litigation and international arbitration. He has acted as an expert in international arbitration proceedings brought under International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) International Court of Arbitration, UNCITRAL, London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), and American Arbitration Association (AAA) rules, as well as in disputes in the High Court of Justice in London, the English Criminal Court, the Competition Appeals Tribunal, state and federal US courts, and other international courts. Having testified on over 50 occasions, Mr. Allen has been involved in acquisition disputes and claims arising out of investment treaties in mining, oil and gas, power generation, telecommunications, financial services, and manufacturing, as well as disputes arising from breaches of contract. Previously, he was the lead partner of the international arbitration practice of a Big Four public accounting firm. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Mr. Allen has been recognized in Lexology Index rankings for Arbitration Expert Witnesses, Forensic Accountants, and Financial Advisory and Valuation (Quantum of Damages).
