Enno Eilts

With more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Eilts is a specialist in competition economics, with a particular focus on competition litigation and damages quantification. He advises claimants and defendants on follow-on damages claims in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, and elsewhere in Europe. Mr. Eilts’s case work includes matters involving e-commerce, trucks, rail tracks, sugar, vehicle shipping, high-voltage cables, automobile parts, and air cargo.

His broader competition work includes merger analysis, market and cartel investigations, abuse of dominance, and state aid. Mr. Eilts has prepared an expert report for an Austrian court on the market position of an international gas producer. He also conducted a European Commission study of ex post assessments of state aid’s impact on competition and assessed competition in ports and port services for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Mr. Eilts has published on competition issues, including in the Competition Law Journal, and coauthored an OECD Round Table paper on ports and port services. He has taught competition economics and utility regulation, including Quantifying Damages at the Toulouse School of Economics, Advanced Competition Economics at the University of Johannesburg, judicial training on quantifying antitrust damages for the European Commission and the OECD, and state aid modules at the Academy of European Law and the European Institute of Public Administration.

Mr. Eilts is listed in Global Competition Review’s Who’s Who Legal: Consulting Experts – Competition Economists. Before joining Analysis Group, he was a partner at Oxera. Earlier, he worked at the UK Competition Commission and the New Zealand Commerce Commission.
