How were your first few weeks or months at Analysis Group?
During my first few weeks at AG, I noticed right away how intelligent and driven everyone was – it was both impressive and motivating. From the beginning, there was a strong focus on learning, whether it was developing new programming skills, improving how to present analyses, or communicating effectively with different audiences.

My teams were super welcoming, and I appreciated how approachable and supportive colleagues were across all levels, including more senior staff. It was also a great opportunity to meet people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, which really highlighted the collaborative and inclusive culture at AG.
What got you interested in health care consulting?
I’ve always been interested in the statistics behind health care and how research can be used to improve outcomes and guide decision making. Health care consulting felt like a natural fit because it allowed me to apply that interest in a practical, real-world context.

I was drawn to the AG specifically because I wanted to strengthen my technical skills in a setting that is fast-paced, intellectually engaging, and constantly evolving. I’ve also always been motivated by collaborative work and problem solving, and consulting offers both on a daily basis. It was important for me to find a role where I could think creatively while continuing to build on the public health foundation I developed through my undergraduate and master’s studies.
What is it like to work on a case team? What types of cases have you worked on?
Working on a case team is one of the best parts of the experience at AG because you get to work with colleagues who bring diverse expertise and perspectives that encourage new ways of thinking and problem solving.

I’ve worked on a wide range of cases, including claims-based analyses, survey studies, and cost modeling for new drugs entering the market. Each case brings its own unique challenges and learning opportunities. I particularly enjoy working on survey-based projects at AG, where we get to be part of how data is collected, analyzed, and presented! It’s awesome to see how our work can have relevance for individuals affected by a condition, as well as for professionals working within that therapeutic area.
What is a typical day like in your role as an analyst?
One of the best parts about working at AG is that no two days are the same. A typical day usually starts with team check-ins to align on tasks and priorities for the day, and from there, the work can vary depending on the case.

As an analyst, I spend a lot of time working with data, usually using SAS to generate results or developing materials like Excel deliverables, abstracts, or manuscripts. Lately, I’ve been involved in cost modeling projects, which I find especially interesting because they’re dynamic and require a lot of critical thinking.

Of course, lunch with coworkers is a daily highlight. We’re serious about food and get to try out new restaurants together at lunch every week.
How does AG support your professional development?
There are lots of helpful trainings that make it easy to build your existing skills and learn new ones. You’re also never on your own. Between peer mentors, case teams, and formal advisors, there’s always someone you can turn to for advice or questions. People really want to help you learn and grow.

AG also encourages you to try out different types of cases so you can figure out what you enjoy most. They host training sessions throughout the year on everything from technical tools to communication, data visualization, and goal setting, so you’re constantly picking up something new.
