She/Her
Senior Analyst, San Francisco
- What motivated you to pursue a career at AG?
- One of the biggest motivators for me was the interview process itself. From the very beginning, I could tell that the people at AG were genuinely kind, thoughtful, and supportive. Beyond the technical skills, they really cared about who I was as a person. That spoke volumes about the culture.
- How has your perception of AG evolved since you started?
- Coming in, I knew AG had an excellent reputation, but I didn’t fully realize how varied and dynamic the work would be until I experienced it firsthand. Since joining, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much ownership I’ve been able to take over my project path and how diverse the casework is. I’ve also been struck by the level of collaboration and trust across teams. What really stands out about AG is the sense of curiosity and thoughtfulness that people bring to their work. There’s a shared sense that everyone wants to do their best and help each other succeed. One of the most meaningful aspects for me has been how much my voice is welcomed, even early in my tenure. AG is a place where people are respected and supported from day one.
- What got you interested in health care consulting?
- I was drawn to health care consulting because of the fast-paced nature of the work and the opportunity to contribute to multiple cases at once. I wanted to contribute to research that moves quickly and has real-world application, and AG’s HEOR, Epidemiology, and Market Access practice allows for exactly that.
- What opportunities for growth and learning have you found at AG?
- AG really encourages continuous learning, both formally and informally. I’ve been able to build technical and qualitative skills through case work, internal trainings, and mentorship. Managers and associates are generous with their feedback, and I've appreciated how performance reviews and day-to-day interactions often translate into clear, actionable growth goals. The exposure to different methodologies across cases and different therapeutic or disease areas has also deepened my knowledge in a short amount of time.
- What is a typical day like in your role as an analyst?
- A typical day often includes a mix of independent tasks and collaborative moments. I might spend time drafting presentation slides, writing and auditing code, or reviewing and summarizing published studies to support project goals. I work on a variety of projects, including literature reviews, survey studies, qualitative interview studies, claims analyses, as well as global value and Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) dossiers. Throughout the day, I also connect with team members to align on priorities, discuss progress, and plan next steps together. The pace of work can shift depending on where we are in the project lifecycle or the structure of the team.
- How would you describe the atmosphere in your office?
- In terms of atmosphere, our office tends to be quiet and focused, which I personally enjoy! It’s conducive to concentration but still feels friendly and supportive. I’ve had the chance to visit a few other AG offices, and I think many would agree that the San Francisco office has the best view! Our planned social events are also varied and fun, including our annual Lake Tahoe trip and outings like NBA games at Chase Center, seeing Hamilton, and playing laser tag.
- What are your favorite activities/hobbies outside of work?
- Outside of work, I enjoy playing piano and reading. I’m part of a virtual book club with my close group of friends from my undergraduate school (go Spiders!). I try to make time each week for the things that help me recharge, whether that’s playing music, catching up on shows, or connecting with friends and family. I value that AG fosters open communication about workload, which helps me protect that recharge time and maintain balance even when things get busy.
