Summary of Experience

Professor Lang is an environmental economist and an expert on the property effects of sustainable energy projects. He has testified in a proceeding involving the effects of an offshore wind farm on local tourism and the economy. In research funded by the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration and the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources, Professor Lang has studied the tourism impacts of the Block Island Wind Farm, the valuation of the installation by permanent residents, and the impact of onshore wind turbines on property values. He has published articles in several energy and economics journals, including Energy Economics, Energy Policy, The Review of Economics and Statistics, Resource and Energy Economics, and the Journal of Public Economics.
