Summary of Experience

Dr. Mostipan is an economist who specializes in applying economic and financial theory and statistics to questions that arise in complex litigation matters. Her experience spans a variety of industries, including finance, health care, education, and publishing. She has extensive skill in handling and analyzing large databases. In finance matters, Dr. Mostipan has supported experts and provided consulting support in litigation and regulatory cases related to trading, structured finance products, market microstructure, valuation, and municipal finance management. She has performed analyses of security trading data alongside chat data; collateralized debt obligations and an insurer’s loss reserves; hedge fund trading strategies; and the value of a pharmaceutical drug in development. In Town of Apple Valley v. Liberty Utilities, she was part of an Analysis Group team that supported an expert analysis of the town’s budget and transfers, contributing to a successful defense against eminent domain. Dr. Mostipan has also supported numerous experts in litigation related to fraud and misrepresentations. She has assisted with programmatic review of telephone transcripts, economic analysis linked to restitution payments, and analysis of chargebacks in connection with fraudulent marketing statements. Prior to joining Analysis Group, Dr. Mostipan held research positions in international finance and policy.
