Analysis Group Consultants Lead Hands-on Session at Georgetown University Workshop on Implementing Generative AI

Analysis Group academic affiliate Timothy DeStefano shared his four-step framework for assessing potential AI use cases during a workshop hosted by Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. The event, AI in Practice: A Hands-On Workshop on Implementing Generative AI, brought practitioners together to explore the opportunities and challenges of integrating AI into everyday workflows. It also featured research on where AI is measurably improving productivity, and peer discussions about what it takes to successfully implement and scale AI across organizations.

As part of the workshop, Managing Principal Lisa Pinheiro, Principal Jimmy Royer, and Associate James Slattery, led a session in which participants worked through practical examples of developing AI skills and personalized tools for gathering and analyzing information. They also laid out guardrails for advanced use as an organization’s AI tools gain greater autonomy and access.

The peer discussions surfaced questions on use cases and common implementation challenges like data collection, managing risks, and developing appropriate guidance, and how organizations are tackling these issues in practice.
