Ms. Giacin is a corporate governance, compliance, and enterprise risk expert who evaluates organizational responses to compliance, financial, and integrity concerns, including in litigation. Her work focuses on escalation governance, whistleblower and open reporting systems, investigative oversight, and leadership engagement, with an emphasis on how organizations identify, assess, escalate and manage risk in crisis contexts, including across the transaction lifecycle. Ms. Giacin applies reporting data, trend analysis, and pattern recognition to evaluate emerging issues that arise in her work. She has served as an expert in litigation involving governance and escalation practices, including preparation of expert reports and deposition testimony, and has assessed risk-response frameworks, audit and board committee oversight, and the alignment of expertise with the magnitude of risk. Ms. Giacin consults to organizations on compliance investigations, governance frameworks, and risk-tracking systems designed to enhance transparency and support informed decision making. Previously, she led the global ombuds and open reporting program at General Electric, focusing on ethics, compliance, and enterprise-wide risk identification and resolution. She oversaw a network of more than 600 ombuds serving hundreds of thousands of employees worldwide and played a key role in resolving thousands of compliance matters annually, involving whistleblower, retaliation, employee relations, compliance and leadership issues.
