Summary of Experience

Professor Frejinger specializes in the application of AI, machine learning, and optimization to transportation, logistics, and supply chain systems and focuses on developing data-driven solutions to support decision making in complex and uncertain environments, including revenue management, demand forecasting, and network design. Her work on optimization algorithms and predictive models has contributed to practical advances in railway operations and management of large-scale transportation systems. Professor Frejinger has provided expert testimony in litigation matters. She has served as a scientific advisor to IVADO Labs, where she co-developed and deployed AI solutions that are now operational in practice, working with clients and interdisciplinary teams to design and implement production-grade AI solutions, including a dynamic pricing algorithm for a major North American airline, a cargo prioritization system for the Port of Montreal, and demand forecasting tools for the retail and mining sectors. She draws on earlier academic and research experience developing advanced algorithms and analytical methods, as well as experience building bespoke, production-ready solutions for real-world applications. Professor Frejinger is recognized for her ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to legal, business, and technical audiences and has appeared in radio and other media to explain data-driven algorithms and AI systems to the general public.
