Summary of Experience
Professor Puller specializes in industrial organization, public and energy economics, and regulation. His research focuses on competition and industry structure in wholesale and retail electricity markets. In addition to his teaching position at Texas A&M University, Professor Puller is a research affiliate with the International Growth Centre, and a faculty affiliate with the E2e Project. His research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals and industry publications such as American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, the Journal of Development Economics, and Environmental and Resource Economics. He is the recipient of multiple National Science Foundation grants in addition to grants from the US Department of Transportation, the US Millennium Challenge Corporation, and the New York State Research and Development Authority. Professor Puller is a research associate with the National Bureau of Economic Research, and previously served as a visiting research associate at the Energy Institute at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and as an advisor to the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
