Dr. Jorapur specializes in the application of economic and financial theory to questions arising in complex intellectual property (IP) and antitrust litigation and other non-litigation matters. In IP litigation matters, he has performed damages analyses related to trade secret misappropriations, breach of contract, reasonable royalties, and lost profits. Dr. Jorapur’s non-damages litigation experience includes analyzing the commercial success of pharmaceutical drugs and evaluating domestic industry presence in International Trade Commission (ITC) matters. In antitrust litigation matters, he has analyzed damages stemming from anticompetitive misconduct related to the pricing of online advertisement services. In non-litigation matters, Dr. Jorapur has examined the economic impact of online casinos on land-based casinos, contributing to a published white paper. His work spans the online advertising services, REIT, construction contracting, health care claims, pharmaceutical, medical devices, networking infrastructure products, telecommunications, and consumer electronics industries. Dr. Jorapur has supported experts throughout the litigation process, including developing analyses for expert reports, critiquing opposing reports, and assisting experts in the preparation for deposition and trial.
