Summary of Experience
Mr. Hogan is an energy executive with more than 40 years of experience in the gas and electric utilities industries. He specializes in safety, reliability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance in the US and Canada. At Utility Technology Solutions, he leads utility industry modernization efforts through the development and implementation of emerging technology. He has submitted written testimony and participated in in-person hearings on energy rates. Previously, Mr. Hogan held various leadership roles at the Pacific Gas & Electric Company, where he was responsible for the company’s $35 billion transmission and distribution system serving Northern and Central California. He also oversaw the engineering and design of the transmission and distribution system for the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority, and was responsible for the multibillion-dollar assets of National Grid’s US electricity distribution system. Mr. Hogan has served on a variety of industry boards and committees, including the Energy Council of the Northeast and the US and Canada national committees of the International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE). He is a member of the board of Charge, Inc., a provider of design, procurement, and construction services for the West Coast utility industry. Mr. Hogan has been a guest lecturer at Hofstra University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and St. John’s University.
