Dr. Hyun specializes in the application of microeconomics, econometrics, and statistical methods to matters in antitrust and competition, labor and employment, commercial disputes, and health care. She has extensive experience identifying economic theories and applying them to litigation questions, as well as designing and conducting analyses of novel and complex datasets. Dr. Hyun has supported experts in labor economics, health economics, digital marketing, industrial organization, and biostatistics in litigation matters related to collusion, market allocation, price fixing, no-poach agreements, false advertising, class certification, damages, and product liability. She has years of experience working with clients and experts; supporting clients at all stages of a matter, from fact discovery through trial; and assisting experts with the preparation of expert reports and trial testimony.

Dr. Hyun’s antitrust experience includes analyzing market definition, market power, competitive dynamics, and damages in matters involving alleged market allocation, price-fixing, and delayed generic entry. Her writings on labor market antitrust enforcement have been published in Antitrust Magazine and on the website of the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section. In labor and employment matters, Dr. Hyun has analyzed merits, class certification, and damages in matters involving allegations of no-poach and wage-fixing agreements, violations of wage-and-hour laws, and discrimination. In the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, Dr. Hyun has supported clients and experts in matters involving contractual disputes as well as claims of causation and harm.
