- What motivated you to pursue a career at AG?
- I was drawn to AG by the opportunity to work on a diverse range of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) projects. I knew it would be an ideal environment to quickly build subject matter expertise while contributing to impactful work. Just as importantly, every person I spoke with during the interview and networking process was incredibly smart, supportive, and genuinely enthusiastic about their work. The collaborative culture and commitment to mentorship made it clear that AG was a place where I could grow and thrive.
- How were your first few weeks or months at Analysis Group?
- The first few weeks at AG were filled with comprehensive training that covered all aspects of the work we support on cases. While the learning curve was steep, it was incredibly rewarding. I felt well-supported throughout the onboarding process and appreciated how quickly I was able to apply what I learned to meaningful project work. The experience set a strong foundation for my continued growth at the firm.
- What got you interested in health care consulting?
- I was drawn to health care consulting because of the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Many of the projects I’ve worked on directly support new drug approvals, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to know that our work helps advance understanding of disease areas, evaluate drug efficacy and safety, and ultimately improve patient access to innovative treatments. I also enjoy the intellectual challenge – leveraging clinical trial data and real-world evidence to solve complex problems in the biopharma industry is both fascinating and rewarding. The opportunity to apply cutting-edge statistical and machine learning methodologies in this context is especially exciting for me.
- What is it like to work on a case team? What types of cases have you worked on?
- Case teams at AG are collaborative and designed to support both learning and high-quality deliverables. On health care projects, a typical team might include a partner, vice president, manager, associate, senior analyst, and one or two analysts. We usually have weekly check-ins and stay in regular contact throughout the project. The pace can be fast at times, but there’s a strong emphasis on reviewing and auditing our work to ensure quality and accuracy.
Everyone at AG often balances multiple projects simultaneously, so strong time management and flexibility are key. Personally, I tend to work on more technically complex cases, including indirect treatment comparisons, precision medicine analyses, federated analytics, clinical trial data analysis, and survey-based studies. These projects offer a great opportunity to apply advanced statistical and methodological approaches to real-world challenges in the biopharma space. - What opportunities for growth and learning have you found at AG?
- At AG, I’ve had the chance to explore my interest in the intersection of data science and drug evaluation. I’ve been intentionally enhancing my strategic understanding of the treatment landscape for each project while also seeking roles where I can contribute as an analytics lead. Through proactive outreach and by consistently demonstrating my skills on case work, I’ve been staffed on projects that align with my interests. These experiences have enabled me to lead independent workstreams, build expertise in complex analytical approaches, and play a meaningful role in shaping project direction.
- How would you describe the atmosphere in your office?
- The atmosphere in our office is friendly and collaborative. People are approachable, supportive, and easy to work with. There’s a nice sense of community through everyday teamwork and the occasional social events like birthday celebrations, office lunches, and annual gatherings. It all helps make AG a comfortable and enjoyable place to work.
- How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?
- I try to maintain a healthy work-life balance by setting clear boundaries. That means being fully present and focused during work hours but also making time to disconnect and recharge outside of work. Prioritizing personal time helps me stay productive and engaged in the long run. Outside of work, I enjoy swimming and playing tennis to stay active. I also like watching documentaries and reading about early 20th-century history.
