Dr. Balestrieri specializes in the application of economic theory, econometrics, and statistics to questions arising in complex litigation matters and business consulting. He has analyzed antitrust, consumer protection, and competition issues across a range of industries, including health care, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, transportation, telecommunications, technology, and agriculture. Dr. Balestrieri has supported experts testifying on class certification, market definition, liability, and damages. His academic research has appeared in the Journal of the European Economic Association, the Journal of Risk and Uncertainty, Service Science, and other publications. He holds three granted patents and has filed dozens of pending applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to joining Analysis Group, Dr. Balestrieri was a researcher at Hewlett Packard Labs.
