Dr. Toniatti specializes in the application of microeconomics, econometrics, and statistical methods in litigation and strategy matters. He has conducted analyses on competition and antitrust issues across a range of industries. In merger cases, he has supported experts for the US Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and merging parties related to horizontal and vertical transactions. He has also worked on class certification matters involving commercial air travel, medical devices, consumer products, and automobiles. Dr. Toniatti has taught an undergraduate course on competition and antitrust issues at Dartmouth College. His research has appeared in The Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of Competition Law & Economics, and the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Source.
