WalMart et al. v. Visa and MasterCard
In a class action antitrust matter involving payment cards, Analysis Group supported Professor John Hauser in the development, implementation, and analysis of consumer surveys designed to understand customer preferences for payment cards and the benefits to retailers of accepting payment cards. These surveys, which measure consumer sensitivity to price and ease of use, were used to model the revenue and profit effects of payment card acceptance. We used the results of these surveys to estimate incremental sales and to support the damages model developed by our expert, Co-Founder Bruce Stangle.
