Summary of Experience

Dr. Huang specializes in the application of economic theory, econometrics, and statistical methods to complex litigation and business questions. He has conducted economic analysis in the areas of M&A, financial instruments, health care, insurance, cryptocurrency, and intellectual property. Examples of his work include valuation in the context of M&A transactions and bankruptcy proceedings; damages estimation in connection with securities fraud, misappropriation of corporate opportunity, bond restructuring, patent infringement, and cryptocurrency offering; and identification and quantification of insurance fraud through claims sampling and extrapolation. Dr. Huang has extensive experience working with large datasets such as insurance claims, trading records, and corporate transactions. He has supported attorneys and experts in all phases of litigation, including discovery, identification of experts, preparation of complex expert reports, preparation of experts for deposition and trial testimony, and cross-examination of opposing experts. Dr. Huang’s research has been published in The Journal of Law and Economics, Law360, and the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance.
